The mockup problem

Ever been frustrated showing off your work in those generic, uninspiring mockup templates? I sure was. For months, I struggled with finding mockups that actually looked good and didn't make my designs look... well, ugly.

You know what I'm talking about — those cookie-cutter device frames, boring backgrounds, and overused templates that make even great designs feel mediocre.

The right mockup can make or break how people perceive your work.

What I learned

After trying dozens of mockup tools and resources, here's what I discovered:

• Context matters — The mockup should match the vibe of your product
• Less is more — Sometimes a simple device frame works better than an elaborate scene
• Quality over quantity — One great mockup beats ten mediocre ones

Building my 4th Product

I spent the past few months thinking of products to build. I had many great ideas, Life’s been doing its thing, but I’ve also been quietly cooking up my next product.

So, I figured it’s a good time to share what I’ve been working on.

What is it?

It’s a simple tool that helps people create beautiful- bento-style brand mockups in seconds.

You pick a template, add your logo, choose your brand colors, write a short tagline, and export it as an image.
That’s it.

💡 Why I'm Building It

I wanted to build something:

• Easy to use
• Fun to share
• With a clear use case

If people start sharing their bentos, it can drive traffic back to the site and bring in more users.

And if the MVP looks good enough, I’ll launch it on Product Hunt as a standalone product.

I'm still working on more templates and polishing the app, should be ready in a week or two!
